I chose to study Japanese because I am interested in studying abroad in Tokyo for the Urban Studies major. I also like to listen to a lot of Japanese music, and I love Studio Ghibli movies. I am excited to learn enough Japanese to talk with my classmates and make fun of them, especially Maggie and Ari. I found transitioning from romaji to hiragana to be difficult.
